WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WORSHIP GOD?
Worship, basically defined, means respectful devotion— loving, honoring, and obeying Someone who deserves our highest regard.
Worshiping God means acknowledging and celebrating His power and perfection. Worship includes understanding and standing in awe of God's Holiness; we remember how great He is and behave reverently in His Presence.
Worship is a way of acknowledging God's nature and activity, and is a response to who He is and what He has done. (C.S. Lewis Institute)
We are saved to worship God. All that Christ has done in the past and all that He is doing now leads to this one end. (A. W. Tozer)
Worship is about recognizing the greatness and worth of God (who is the most valuable Being in the universe) and expressing one's love and devotion to Him. This blog will share essential information on the Meaning, Purpose, Practice, Benefits, and Rewards of Worship to God.

The Reward of Worship
The Westminster Shorter Catechism of Faith states, "Man's chief end is to glorify God and enjoy God forever." Thus, to GLORIFY GOD is true worship, and to ENJOY GOD forever is the all-encompassing reward that includes very specific benefits listed here. The ultimate reward and goal of our worship is to know God more deeply. Also, what is God's ultimate goal for us? Our salvation from God's wrath, our justification by which we are declared to stand righteous before Him, and our adoption as His sons and daughters all have but one single and ultimate goal: to BRING GOD GLORY!

"O Lord, how many are Your works! You made them all in wisdom. The earth is full of what You have made."
Psalm 104:24

"I made the earth and made man upon it. I spread out the heavens with My hands and put all the stars in their places."
Isaiah 45:12
